YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT

I have stated in many articles I have written and on many radio shows I have hosted and guested on, that I was born into one of the, if not the, healthiest societies on this planet. That was three full generations ago. So how is it that in three short generations (sixty years) Americans have fallen from the peak of global health, to one of the, if not the, sickest societies on this planet?
We lead the world in cognitive dysfunctions such as Dementia, Alzheimer’s ADHD, Autism etc… We are also gold medal winners in autoimmune diseases (a wide range), food allergies, and at our present rate of increase, we are soon to lead the world in cancer affliction, our rate of infertility is also the fastest rising on this planet, and the list goes on, WHY?
We boast possessing the best technology, health research and governmental protections on the planet, so how can this be? Could it possibly be the fact that we are the society most exposed to Genetically Modified or Engineered foods and associated Bio-toxins such as Glyphosate (among other Environmental, Bio and Neurotoxins)?
Where are the government agencies mandated with the protection of the American people? Corrupt and complicit beyond anything most of us would care to believe. When food and medicine (drugs and vaccines) are directly responsible for more suffering and death over the last century than any war in human history … Something is VERY wrong !!!
It is being said by credible researchers that the last generation born (our children and grandchildren today) may very well be the first generation in history to have a shorter lifespan than their parents.READ THE ABOVE COMMENT AGAIN !!!Now if that doesn’t scream volumes … just what will it take?
What you are about to delve into is a history of the food industry in America and its long road from clean healthy food, to nutrient deprived toxic food, as well as the history, growth, infiltration and influence of agri-giants, biotech and chemical companies on our safety and regulatory agencies, and all within the last three generations … Hmmm … Coincidence … RIGHT ???
This is not a quick read. The radio show and videos included are informative at best and DAMNING at worst. The food we buy today is the product of a business who’s more concerned about their own profits than their customers health and the government regulators are looking out for the interests of the businesses rather than the American people’s well being.
The Miami Herald wrote on June 23rd 2011, chemically treated produce, highly processed foods, and refined ingredients like white flour and sugar cause sickness and disease as well as a host of minor ailments such as digestive issues and lack of energy.
The Herald Sun wrote on June 24th 2011, The New England Journal of Medicine published research that advised weight-watchers to cut out sugar-sweetened drinks, potatoes and refined grain foods such as white bread, white rice and low-fibre cereals. They urged people to eat more “natural” foods.
On June 19, 1999 The Center for Science in the Public Interest petitioned the Food and Drug Administration (the FDA) to prohibit the use of potassium bromate, which is used to strengthen bread dough. They charged that the FDA has known for years that bromate causes cancers in laboratory animals, but has failed to ban it.
The most common pesticide found in flour, 49% of all flour tested, is Malathion, believed to be a possible carcinogen, Neurotoxin and Hormone disruptor.
On January 28th, 2009 the Washington Post reported, “Study Finds High-Fructose Corn Syrup Contains Mercury.” The articles reports that “Almost half of tested samples of commercial high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS) contained mercury, which was also found in nearly a third of 55 popular brand-name food and beverage products where HFCS is the first- or second-highest labeled ingredient, according to two new U.S. studies. ”
On July 27th, 1989 the Los Angeles Times reported, “FDA allows Genetically-Modified rBGH to Endanger Milk: FDA Ignores Evidence on Cancer Risks”
On December 7th, 2006 the Harvard University Gazette reported, “Hormones in milk can be dangerous.” The article states, “The milk we drink today is quite unlike the milk our ancestors were drinking” without apparent harm for 2,000 years, she said. “The milk we drink today may not be nature’s perfect food. Butter, meat, eggs, milk, and cheese are implicated in higher rates of hormone-dependent cancers in general, she said. Breast cancer has been linked particularly to consumption of milk and cheese.”
On Feb 11th, 2009, CBS News reported, “Link Eyed Between Beef And Cancer.” In feed lots across the country, beef cattle are given growth hormones to make them fatter faster, to save money. Now questions are being raised about one of the most widely-used hormones, Zeranol, a synthetic estrogen implanted in cattle. A series of tests done for the Pentagon show a possible link between breast cancer and Zeranol.
On March 30th, 2011 Discovery News reported, “Food Packaging Harbors Harmful Chemicals” Plastic wrappers, food cans and storage tubs deposit at least two potentially harmful chemicals into our food, confirmed a new study. By cutting out containers, people can dramatically reduce their exposures to these toxins. The chemicals — bisphenol A, or BPA, and a phthalate called DEHP — are known to disrupt hormonal systems in the bodies of both animals and people, leading to developmental and reproductive problems, as well as cancers, heart disease and brain disorders. And both appear in a wide variety of food packaging materials.
Because the manufacturers and the government ignore our concerns, it is going to be up to us to take charge of our nutrition and well-being.There are a few alternatives to the chemically laden foods available at your local supermarket. You can buy organic, which unfortunately because of the current economics of food production, is more expense. Or you can grow and raise your own food, which is time consuming and hard work. But you have to ask yourself, “Is it worth improving the health of my family?”

The World According to Monsanto

Roundup, Monsanto’s Scientific FraudThere’s nothing they are leaving untouched: the mustard, the okra, the bringe oil, the rice, the cauliflower. Once they have established the norm: that seed can be owned as their property, royalties can be collected. We will depend on them for every seed we grow of every crop we grow. If they control seed, they control food, they know it — it’s strategic. It’s more powerful than bombs. It’s more powerful than guns. This is the best way to control the populations of the world.
The story starts in the White House, where Monsanto often got its way by exerting disproportionate influence over policymakers via the “revolving door”. One example is Michael Taylor, who worked for Monsanto as an attorney before being appointed as deputy commissioner of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 1991. While at the FDA, the authority that deals with all US food approvals, Taylor made crucial decisions that led to the approval of GE foods and crops. Then he returned to Monsanto, becoming the company’s vice president for public policy.
Thanks to these intimate links between Monsanto and government agencies, the US adopted GE foods and crops without proper testing, without consumer labeling and in spite of serious questions hanging over their safety. Not coincidentally, Monsanto supplies 90 percent of the GE seeds used by the US market.
Monsanto’s long arm stretched so far that, in the early nineties, the US Food and Drugs Agency even ignored warnings of their own scientists, who were cautioning that GE crops could cause negative health effects. Other tactics the company uses to stifle concerns about their products include misleading advertising, bribery and concealing scientific evidence.

TLB: So now you know … Hopefully your eyes are open a little wider. Please also consider just because you think REAL food cost too much and growing your own is too time consuming … have you priced the cost of sickness lately or how much time it takes to go for treatments to get well, when it ALL can be prevented. Spend a little more on your food, grow some natural/organic food, stay healthy, save a lot more in the long run, and … LIVE LONGER …
So the prevailing question must be … What do YOU intend to do to protect you and your loved ones ???
